i was trying to be centered and do things that make me feel good and balanced today so i did stuff like steal eyeshadow and buy (thrifty) altar decorations BUTTT part of what makes me feel good is exploring and doing new things so i went into this shop on my way home that i pass sometimes when i go that way (rarely) that markets itself as a gift shop (so i never go there, bc lol gift shops)
AND IT’S SECRETLY A MAGIC SHOP
they have a back room full of crystals and stones and chalices and oils and pre-mixed potions and dried herbs and candles and books and everything a witch could ever need
i mean in the front room they also have a bunch of rly cool thrifted clothes and handmade jewelry (like, i almost cried over this frida kahlo locket) and accessories
and i got seafoam green fishnets for $2
but like, i’m dying <3____<3 it is 6 blocks from my house
LOL GIFTSHOPS
is the most concise and deadly cultural criticism/economic policy I have read in a long time, and I would tell you to launch it as the natural successor to Shut Up Foodies but it’s post-blog, it’s perfect, it’s cooked.
