So I’ve spent this evening head-desking at responses to the sex strike poster I found on facebook. Everyone shitting their pants about how “anti-sex” and”objectifying” a sex strike is needs to revisit their Learning Good Consent manuals, and consider why it’s so offensive for someone to be able to refuse to have any kind of sex at any time, for any reason, even if political. It’s not about enforcing purity, it’s not about hating sex— it’s about reminding the anti-choice camp who’s in control.
Things that are less offensive than a sex strike:
Posting your bra color for breast cancer awareness
Taking credit for the actions of WOC and asking for money
A rapist and attempted murderer giving sex tips

HOW THE HELL CAN YOU CLAIM TO BE SEX POSITIVE IF YOU DON’T RESPECT THE RIGHT OF SOMEONE TO WITHHOLD SEX? For any reason!...
